John Leslie Stokes

education: Greathouse Elementary School, Waggener High School in St. Matthews, KY and a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.
siblings: Sarah Margaret Stokes (Schriner) and Martha Lynn Stokes (Buechain)
married: Elizabeth Ann Southard (Stokes) July 8, 1972 (divorced in 1985 and John immediately remarried)
daughters: Leslie Ann Stokes (1977) and Amy Elizabeth Stokes (1980)
honors: Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout and God & Country Award)
career: Ran the Crime Lab for the Kentucky State Police. The lab was located on the U of L Shelby Campus. It served state, city and county police. Later John went into sales with Hewlett Packart. He also tried his hand at contracting construction of homes and managing medical offices.
